Somoma County M.E.N. Hotline 528-2636 About the M.E.N. organization

MenEvolving Non-Violently is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, founded in Sonoma County over twenty years ago,  to support men committed to changing their abusive behaviors.  M.E.N.  is organized as a Collective of members operating by consensus.  We have no chiefs.

M.E.N. provides three essential domestic violence services to the community:

  • Three support groups currently meet each week. Sessions are facilitated by Collective members trained as peer counselors. Many of the peer counselors joined the Collective after completing the M.E.N. groups.
  • The 528-2MEN 24-hour hot line, staffed by Collective members, offers confidential support to callers in crisis and provides resource information to men and their family members.

  • Our Speakers bureau makes Collective members available to speak to schools, civic groups and public agencies on issues related to domestic violence.

We are non-professionals and receive no pay for the work we do.  Our satisfaction comes from helping men change their abusive behaviors and improve their lives.  M.E.N. is funded by the contributions of individuals and the nominal fees paid by men attending our support group meetings.

For additional information about participating in support groups, becoming a Collective member, arranging a program for your organization or making a tax-deductible contribution, please phone or write:
